Your Role
 
As Desktop Support Engineer you will be working within a well established and busy internal support team. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the internal stakeholders across Australia, performing installation of workstations and printers, hardware and software upgrades, general maintenance of hardware and networks and other project works.

You will be responsible for:
 
  • Installation and maintenance of workstations and printers
  • Hardware and software upgrades
  • Delivering support ensuring the maintenance of SLA’s
  • Testing and documenting of standards based around efficient and repeatable installation of hardware
  • Creation of user profiles using Active Directory
  • Liaising with the Service Desk, Engineering Services and Change Management teams to resolve incidents and escalating where necessary
  • Logging calls and utilizing a ticketing system
  • Providing exceptional customer service during and after service
  • Administer, monitor, and support desktop and mobile infrastructure components
  • Regular reporting to line manager and key stakeholders 
Your experience must include:
 
  • Tertiary/industry qualifications within IT
  • 2+ years supporting desktop and mobile computing environments
  • Experience working in a large environment (200+ users ideal)
  • Operating knowledge of Windows 2000, Windows XP, Active Directory, hardware, printing technologies, pda hardware/blackberry, terminal servers and general desktop applications
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • General Networking and Communications knowledge
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential
